We’ll then chat through the details of your shoot, including location, styling, and the overall feel you would love your photographs to have, so everything feels relaxed and right for your family.

When the day arrives, I’ll photograph your family in a natural, gently guided way, capturing the real connection, personality, and moments that matter most.
4. Delivering your photos
After your session, I’ll carefully edit your images and deliver your gallery for you to enjoy, with any prints included in your package to follow once selected.

Where do family portrait sessions take place?
Family sessions can take place outdoors on location or in the studio, depending on the style you are looking for. Studio sessions are available in Rochford, while outdoor sessions can be arranged in a beautiful natural setting that suits your family.
What should we wear for our family session?
I always recommend choosing outfits that feel comfortable, timeless, and work well together without being too matching. Soft, neutral, or earthy tones tend to photograph beautifully and help keep the focus on your family rather than the clothing. Once your session is booked, I’m very happy to offer guidance if you would like help choosing what to wear.
What if my children won’t sit still?
That is absolutely fine, and very normal. Family sessions are designed to be relaxed and flexible, with plenty of space for little ones to move, play, and be themselves. Some of the most beautiful photographs come from those natural, in-between moments rather than everyone sitting perfectly still and looking at the camera.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Sunshine or dry weather is always lovely, but a little light rain does not necessarily mean the session cannot go ahead. In fact, softer weather can sometimes create really beautiful photographs. If the conditions are too poor for the session to be enjoyable, we can simply rearrange for another date.
